POSITION SUMMARY
At Evite you will be part of a strong, lean team that is reinventing the original social website for the social networking age.
We're looking for a passionate, versatile developer to complete a great development team. We work in one-week Agile sprints. Our new web application is written in jQuery, our web services in Python running on Tornado, and our test suites in Selenium. Our REST/JSON services architecture uses memcached, a schema-less database, and asynchronous messaging.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build a world-class web application, and have fun doing it.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Background in computer science;
- Experience with dynamic languages, such as Python, Ruby or Groovy;
- Solid JavaScript skills, preferably using jQuery;
- Ability to analyze and debug web applications using Firebug & similar tools.
- Passion for the web development profession;
- Comfort working within Agile methods & a fast-paced team;
- Understanding of core web technologies;
