The Opportunity
TutorSource is looking for a Product Manager, with emphasis on product user experience, to be the primary manager for the TutorSource web application. This position will involve taking ownership of the product, working closely with executive management to define strategies and requirements, working closely with the CTO, lead designer, and the technology team to ensure successful product development.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a passion for easy-to-use, innovative user interface design and product management experience on consumer-facing, well-received web sites. Experience in the education industry or an online social application is preferred, as is a background in human factors, HCI, or user interface design. As a key member of the TutorSource team this person will report to the Founder and work from the company headquarters in Santa Monica, CA.
- Bachelors Degree required
- 5 to 7 years of experience including web development and user experience/testing
- Visual design experience or art design background preferred
- Strong interpersonal/management skills, ability to drive decisions and build consensus
Salary and Benefits:
Total compensation package: $80-100k which includes base Salary, Bonus and an Employee options plan. In addition: Medical, Dental, Vision benefits and 401k with Company matching.
