Seeking a tech-savvy, jack of all trades computer guru who can create a celebrity charity website from scratch, can make sophisticated logos/designs, viral market, blog, and oversee the maintenance of two websites when needed. This will be a part-time (10 hrs/week), unpaid internship, but will provide the intern with name exposure on celebrity charity site (designed by your name), school credit (if applicable), and potential future payment (once the charity is up and running). This is an excellent opportunity for people looking to gain hands-on experience, and to build their portfolio with work that is affiliated with good causes and celebrities.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Required:
Course work in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Science or related area of study
Knowledgeable of HTML/XHTML, CSS, and appropriate editing tools (i.e. Dreamweaver)
Proficient in basic JavaScript
Basic understanding of PHP, ColdFusion
Skilled in bit-map and/or vector editing tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
Excellent organizational & multi-tasking skills
Experience with developing database-driven sites is preferred
Experience integrating front-end templates with back-end functionality
Experience in working with Content Management System and Database System
Experience with blogging, including popular sites, and ideas about how to expand our companys blog
Extensive knowledge about social networking sites/viral marketing tools (not just the usual Facebook, etc)
Self-starter approach to work, with an eagerness to consistently exceed objectives and take on more responsibility
