Canon Communications LLC, a resilient, growth driven print/Internet publisher and trade show event organizer, and world-wide market leading provider of integrated media services to the vibrant medical device sector, is seeking an accomplished, motivated Chief Technology Officer to join its management team. This executive level individual will establish the technical strategy and vision for the company and lead all aspects of the company’s technology development while providing hands-on management and leadership for the IT staff.


Job duties include the following:

• Lead the design and execution of technology strategy for all company platforms.

• Oversee technology research and development and lead management of complex technology projects.

• Anticipate and react to major technology changes to ensure the company’s position as a technology leader in our served industries.

• Establish capital expense and operating expense budgets for all technologies and establish strong reporting mechanisms to monitor and control these expenses.

• Develop and monitor technical and procedural standards and ensure adherence to them for product development, technology security and company operations including disaster preparedness.

• Ensure excellent service standards in local and global networking and user-support

• Recruit, manage and continuously develop a top-flight team of technology professionals through inclusive management and collaborative team building.


To perform this job successfully, an individual must combine a proven track record as a hands-on developer of complex technology solutions for an international network across multiple platforms with an inclusive, collaborative management style.

Proven skills with global Wide Area Network infrastructure (Citrix, HP Blade, SAN, Cisco), virtualization technology (VMWare, Hype-v), multiplatform integration (Windows and MAC), remote location data center management, and web hosting infrastructure design and management (LINUX, Apache, My SQL, and PHP).


Bachelor’s degree (B. S.) in Computer Science from four-year college or university; additional Master’s in Business Administration (M.B.A.) is a plus.

Minimum 15 years hands on experience in complex IT environments, with 5 years in executive level technology management.
